Mr. Jobe and Ms. Paige went to a bubble gum shop. Mr. Jobe bought 1 bubble gum that was divided into three and ate only 1/3 of three pieces. Then he decided to buy 10 bubble gums that weren’t divided into threes. Mr. Jobe ate h of the 10 bubble gums (that weren’t divided into threes.) Ms. Paige then eats 6 times as much as Mr. Jobe does added together. Ms. Paige found out that she ate 20 whole bubble gums in total. What was the h amount of bubble gum that Mr. Jobe ate?
The wording is kind of confusing, where you described how the bubble gum was divided into pieces. It's also confusing where it says when Ms. Paige and Mr. Jobe ate bubble gums. Overall it is very good...just change the wording so it is easier to understand.
Why would somebody buy bubble gum that is divided into 1/3 or eat just 1/3 of bubble gum???? Also, you wrote "he decided to buy 10 bubble gums" you should write "he decided to buy 10 pieces of bubble gum" because it makes more sense. Also, why did you talk about how Mr. Jobe ate 10 pieces of bubble gum? It doesn't even come out in the equation.
The word problem is confusing because it says Ms. Paige ate 10-6h bubble gums. It makes the 1/3 bubble gum sound irrelevant. Good idea with the bubble gum though.
Willy has make up. He has 1/3 make up of what Faith has. Faith is nice so she gives a few pieces of make up. Willy gets greedy so he gets six times as much as what he had and what Faith gave him added together. At the end, he has 20 pieces of make up. How many make up did Faith give Willy?
Mr. Jobe has h number of Dumbledore's famous flying apple pies (DFFAP for short). Ms. Page gives 1/3 of one of her Dumbledore's flying apple pies to Mr. Jobe. Mr. Forrestal LOVES Dumbledore's flying apple pies, and got jealous of Mr. Jobe, so he bought six times as much of Dumbledore's flying apple pies as Mr. Jobe has. Now, Mr. Forrestal has 20 pies. How many Dumbledore's flying apple pies did Mr. Jobe have in the beginning?
