Invent a new review game for the end of a chapter. How would it be structured? Would there be a clearly-defined winner? Make sure this game incorporates everyone in the class, where everyone is actively reviewing the material on some level.
I think we should do some kind of a tournament. Everyone in the room verse each other. If you lose than you verse with other people. At the end who ever wins the most is the winner
I think maybe a game where the class is divided up into teams. A math question is put up onto the screen and each team has to answer. The teams get points and after 15 questions the team with the highest points wins. There will be a defined winner.
It think that there should be a face-off tournament two people write math problems for each other in a specific amount of time and then they swap the questions and whoever can get the right answers first wins and the winners face other winners and losers face other losers until there is a top winner.
I think we should invent a game of teamwork. The class could be divided into few groups. Then, Mr. Jobe will give the group a lot of math problems on a paper. The group will help and solve as much math problem as possible in a given amount of time. The group that solved the most math problem and excluding the ones that are wrong will win.
People can make questions for each other related to this chapter. After making questions people can go around solving the questions that people made for each other. And the person who gets most correct gets a piece of CANDY :D
I think that there should be teams divided in to 4 teams. There could be a questions on the board, a piece of paper or the screen in front of the class. If the first person finds the answer of the first question, the student passes a paper with answers. If a student gets checked by Mr. Jobe and gets a question wrong, they will have to do the problem again. The first team that gets all of the questions done and all right, wins.
I think the whole class will divide up into a few groups and each group would have to find a hidden math operations or number. In the classroom(s), there would be hidden pieces of paper that you have to find and you must answer a math question to get a hint on where it is. They must find out where all the math operations/numbers are and connect them together to make an equation. The first team to put the pieces together wins the game.
I think that we should get into small groups. Then the people in that group get a set of questions from Mr. Jobe. Then, the first person who answers all the questions quickly and correctly will move on. From each group, there would be only 1 winner. Then the winners would get questions and the person who answers those questions the fastest and all correctly, would be the winner.
This review game is kind of like Jeopardy. We divide up into teams (from 1-4) and the first team will choose what category to work on. Then, when the first question comes up, everyone (everybody in every team) start to work on that problem. If lets say, someone from Team A shouts his/her name and tells the answer, but it's wrong, then another member from Team A can have a chance to answer later on as well as Team B, C, etc. One person or the teacher will write down the scores, varying upon the problem. The winner will be a certain team.
I think that we can do a game where our class is divided up into about 4~5 groups. Mr. Jobe can hand us a paper that has 4~5 questions on it and each group member has to solve one. The quickest group to solve all the problems can win.!
I think that we should do a relay race(in columns) with questions related to this chapter. Mr. Jobe checks the answers and gives candy to everyone whose answers are correct. It doesn't matter when you finish as long as you get it right.
I think that we should divide into two groups and Mr. Jobe will or might have a box of math cards that has a multi. div. add. or sub. with the answers in front of him on the card. Then when he takes a out a card, the two people who are going up against each other have to answer the question quickly before someone else. Plus, whichever team wins, Mr. Jobe will give candies to the winning group.
